Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 October 2026

1. Agreement

By using ViralForensics (“the Service”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. We’ll update this page and its date when the terms change, and email you before significant changes take effect. The Service is run by Alex Thorne, trading as ViralForensics.

2. What the Service does

ViralForensics reviews your own short-form videos and their statistics from the accounts you connect (currently Instagram), using AI to analyse them and suggest ideas for future videos. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, TikTok or Google.

3. Acceptable use

Only connect accounts you own or are authorised to manage. Don’t:

  • try to access other users’ data or parts of the Service that aren’t meant for you;
  • use the Service to harass, target or harm anyone;
  • interfere with the Service or try to overload it.

4. Your account

You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email, so please keep your email account secure. You can delete your account at any time in Settings (see Data deletion for what that removes).

5. Your content

Your videos, captions and data stay yours. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the Service to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. AI suggestions

Analyses, suggestions and pitches are produced by AI from your videos and statistics. They can be wrong and are for information only; we don’t guarantee any growth, numbers or income from following them.

7. Liability

We provide the Service “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
